FMS Range (FINE METAL STEEL)


All the FMS range of ammunition are coated in Teflon (reg trade mark) its full name is Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that has numerous applications. neither water nor water-containing substances wet PTFE, as fluorocarbons exhibit only small "London dispersion forces" due to the low electric polarizability of fluorine.

7.62x54R the "R" stands for Rim


A common round as used by the latest NATO countries and also used in the Winchester Model 1895. Favoured by the Dragunov, Sv-98 and PKM. 

The cartridge remains one of the few standard-issue rimmed cartridges still in military use, and has one of the longest service lives of any military-issued cartridge.


7.62 x 39


The cartridge is widely used due to the worldwide proliferation of Russian SKS and AK47 pattern rifles, as well as RPD and RPK light machine guns.

In the 21st century the 7.62×39mm remains a common service rifle chambering, including for newly developed rifles like the AK-15.
